On December 20th, 2022, ELH member Dr. Viktor Pfaffenrot received his doctorate. In the one-hour doctoral defense in the auditorium of the Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, Dr. Pfaffenrot confidently answered the committee's questions about his dissertation "Laminar fMRI of long-range connections: Methods and contrast mechanisms". The examiners from various disciplines repeatedly praised Dr. Pfaffenrot's comprehensive research work and professional knowledge as well as his ability to write his thesis easy to understand.
